The Wire: Filming Locations in Baltimore

The Wire was set and filmed in Baltimore: the Ritz Cabaret in Fells Point, East Baltimore's Middle East, Locust Point, Greenmount West and Camden Yards all appear on screen. The HBO series by David Simon ran for five seasons from 2002 to 2008. This route follows five places from the first-season pilot to the school storyline of season 4. Most pins are neighborhoods, not single doors.

The Silence of the Lambs: Filming Locations from Quantico to Pittsburgh

The Silence of the Lambs is set in Virginia, Baltimore and Memphis but was filmed largely in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the FBI Academy at Quantico, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall as real stops. This route follows Clarice Starling from her FBI training to Lecter's cell and the hunt for Buffalo Bill. Two sites are private or gone, so the map marks them with a caveat.

Americanah: Lagos, America, Lagos Again

Ifemelu and Obinze fall in love at secondary school in Lagos, in a Nigeria under military rule where everyone seems to be planning to leave. She gets a scholarship to Philadelphia; he, refused an American visa after 9/11, ends up working illegally in London. Over thirteen years in the United States Ifemelu discovers that she has become "black" — and writes a hit blog about it — before deciding to go home. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 2013 novel moves between real cities on three continents, and the route follows it in story order rather than in the book's flashback structure. Homes, salons and the university in Philadelphia are not identified, so most pins mark the city or campus.
