Need for Speed: The Run races across the United States, from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco through Death Valley, Las Vegas, Denver and Chicago to Times Square in New York.
The racing game is an illegal street race from San Francisco to New York City with the Mob and the police in pursuit. Wikipedia records two plots: the Black Box version, starring street racer Jack Rourke, and a Firebrand version, starring a former pro racer called Matt. Most scenes here come from the Firebrand version; each stop says which. The roads are real, but scenes are not tied to exact spots, so most pins mark the city or region.
Spoiler notice: the last stop reveals the ending.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Shutokō Battle in Japan) is set on the Shuto Expressway: the C1 loop and the Bayshore Route in Tokyo, then Nagoya, Osaka and the Irohazaka mountain road at Nikko.
The route follows the series from its Tokyo expressway roots through the Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 city expansion to the Kaido Battle mountain spin-offs. The games recreate long roads, so pins mark one point on each.
Tatooine is the Star Wars desert everyone knows, but the films kept finding other corners of the Earth for their galaxy: redwoods in northern California, a villa on Lake Como, a plaza in Seville, the desert around an oasis in Abu Dhabi, a monastery island off County Kerry and the largest salt flat in the world, in Bolivia.
This route follows the shooting in the order the films were made, from the Endor forest of Return of the Jedi to the Crait battle of The Last Jedi. Two stops mark an area rather than a spot: the Endor scenes were partly shot on private land, and no source names the stretch of desert that stood in for Jakku.
