Jodhaa Akbar: Filming Locations in Rajasthan
Jodhaa Akbar (2008) is set in the Mughal Empire and was filmed at Amber Fort, Roopangarh Fort, Agra Fort, Ajmer Sharif Dargah and on the outskirts of Jaipur.
The film tells how the young emperor Jalaluddin, later called Akbar, marries the Rajput princess Jodhaa of Amber, and this route follows the story across the real forts and shrines where its scenes were shot. Many events in the film are fictional, and historians dispute the name Jodhaa Bai. Several interiors, including the Agra Fort halls, were rebuilt as sets at Karjat.
