KPop Demon Hunters: Real Seoul Locations

KPop Demon Hunters is set in Seoul, and several real places appear on screen: Seoul Olympic Stadium in the opening scene, Jayang Station on Line 7, Namsan Seoul Tower, Naksan Park and Bukchon Hanok Village. It is an animated film, so these are places it shows rather than filming sites. The route follows five of them, with what each is like to visit today.

Wyatt Earp's lawman years run from the cattle towns of Wichita and Dodge City, Kansas, to Tombstone, Arizona, where the gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place in 1881. Earp wore a badge in Kansas, then followed his brothers to a silver boomtown. This route follows him from his first police job to the shootout, his brother Morgan's murder and the vendetta ride through Tucson, ending at his grave in Colma, California. The real gunfight was not at the corral at all, and the stops say where it actually happened.

The First Crusade: Clermont to Jerusalem

The First Crusade (1096-1099) ran from Clermont in France through Constantinople, Nicaea and Antioch to Jerusalem, and this route follows it stop by stop. The six stops cover the sermon, the oaths sworn to the Byzantine emperor in Constantinople, the sieges of Nicaea and Antioch, the battle at Dorylaeum and the fall of Jerusalem in July 1099. Blade Runner: Los Angeles 2019 Filming Locations

Blade Runner's 2019 Los Angeles was filmed at the Bradbury Building, the Ennis House, Union Station, the 2nd Street Tunnel and a Warner Bros. backlot in Burbank. This route follows the story from the police station to the final chase across a rooftop, and shows which real downtown and Los Feliz landmarks stood in for the future. Most sets were dressed heavily for the camera, so expect the buildings, not the neon.

Thomas Hardy's Wessex: Dorset to Stonehenge

Thomas Hardy's Wessex is the real Dorset and Wiltshire under invented names: Puddletown becomes Weatherbury, Bere Regis becomes Kingsbere, and Stonehenge keeps its own name in Tess of the d'Urbervilles. The route starts at Hardy's birthplace cottage and his house Max Gate, then follows his novels to the real villages and ancient sites behind them: Puddletown, Maiden Castle, Bere Regis and finally Stonehenge. Hardy himself called Wessex a "partly real, partly dream-country", so some pins mark the area rather than one building.
