La zona correcta (una ciudad, un parque o un barrio), pero no un punto preciso.
  1. Every episode opens on the rusting wreck that marks Craggy Island, "a remote location off Ireland's west coast". In reality the island is Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands, and the ship is the MV Plassy, wrecked in a storm on 8 March 1960. Islanders rescued the whole crew with a breeches buoy. Strong Atlantic waves later threw the hulk above the high tide mark, where it still lies on the shoreline and is a tourist attraction.

Para el visitante: Take the ferry to Inisheer; the wreck lies on the shoreline.

  2. Ted, Dougal and Jack live "chaotically together" here with Mrs Doyle, who always wants to serve them tea. The exterior is Glenquin house, on the Boston road from Kilnaboy in County Clare. The series was shot between 1995 and 1998 mostly around this part of Clare, including Corofin, Ennis, Kilfenora, Ennistymon and Kilnaboy.

Precisión del lugar: The house is at Glenquin on the Boston road, but the pin marks Kilnaboy village nearby.

  3. In the first episode aired, "Good Luck, Father Ted", Dougal is thrilled by Funland, a funfair set up on "The Field". Ted is hoping to meet a television reporter there, and ends up asleep on a bench that turns out to be part of the "Crane of Death" ride, lifted high into the air. The funfair scenes were filmed at Tower Bay in Portrane, north County Dublin. The episode first aired on 21 April 1995.

Precisión del lugar: The sources name Tower Bay in Portrane, not the exact field; the pin marks the bay.

  4. In "Hell", the three priests set off for the Kilkelly Caravan Park for their annual holiday. Dougal forgets to hitch the trailer holding all their games. The caravan site was Fanore Beach on Clare's west coast, and Fanore appears in many Father Ted scenes. The writers drew on childhood caravan holidays that Graham Linehan described as a "holiday in Hell", hence the title.

Precisión del lugar: The pin marks Fanore village; the sources only say the caravan site was at Fanore Beach.

  5. In "The Mainland", Ted and Dougal join a tour group in the "Very Dark Caves", which were Aillwee Cave in the Burren. They get lost, find Father Noel Furlong's youth group stuck for two days, and Ted realises the thread of Dougal's unravelling tank top can lead them out. The episode aired on 3 April 1998. Aillwee opened to the public in 1976, and about 300 metres of passage can be toured.

Black Book (Zwartboek): Resistance in The Hague

Paul Verhoeven's Black Book (Zwartboek, 2006) is set in the occupied Netherlands and centres on The Hague, where Rachel Stein, a Jewish singer, joins the resistance as Ellis de Vries. It was filmed in Hardenberg, Giethoorn, The Hague and Delft, with a hall in Amsterdam's Tropenmuseum standing in for the SD office. The route follows the story from the bombed farm and the boat ambush to the SD headquarters, the prison cells and the final drive to Hollands Diep. The film is fiction, though Verhoeven says many of its events are true.
