  1. Honoré is the main town of Saint Marie, and in real life it is Deshaies, a commune on the coast of Guadeloupe. In the show the town has a leisure marina, a market, bars and restaurants, as well as the police station. The series is filmed mainly in Deshaies, and the annual shoots in Guadeloupe run from April to August, so this is the place to start before looking for the other stops.

In real life the set is the presbytery attached to the church of St Peter and St Paul in Deshaies, and the priest's office appears as the incident room.   3. The detective inspector's home on the beach is a fixed part of the series. It is filmed at La Perle beach, near Deshaies, where the bungalow of the successive chief inspectors stands.   5. Series 3, episode 7 is largely set on a small, privately owned islet just off Saint Marie. The episode was actually filmed on Kahouanne, an uninhabited islet that belongs to the commune of Deshaies and lies about 1,500 metres from its coast.

Spiral (Engrenages), the crime series that began in 2005, is set between the Palais de Justice, the police at 36 Quai des Orfèvres and the streets of north and east Paris, from La Villette to the Canal de l'Ourcq. The route follows the series across its eight seasons: the courthouse on the Île de la Cité, the judicial police, three of its cases and the new Batignolles courthouse of Series 8. Most stops are only the district named in the story, and the 13th arrondissement pin is approximate.

The Bridge (Bron/Broen): Øresund Crossing

The Bridge (Bron/Broen) is set on the Øresund Bridge between Malmö and Copenhagen, and many of its real locations are in Malmö, from the Turning Torso district to Peberholm island. This route follows the Nordic noir series from the corpse on the border line to the Malmö baths, Saga's flat, the police headquarters facade and the artificial island of season two. Interiors were studio sets, so the real places are mostly exteriors.

Winden, town of the series Dark, is fictional, but it was filmed around Berlin and Brandenburg: the Düppeler Forst bridge, the Stahnsdorf cemetery, the Olympiastadion gates and the Einhornhöhle cave in the Harz. This route follows the story from a teenager's return to school in 2019 to the apocalypse of 2020 and its aftermath, with the real places that stand in for Winden's school, caves, power plant and ruins.
