  1. Jab We Met begins with a man running from his own life. Aditya, heir to a wealthy but troubled family, drifts out of a company meeting, attends his ex-girlfriend's wedding in a daze, then boards a random departing train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai. The station is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: building began in 1878 and it opened to the public on 20 May 1888. Aditya has no destination; the train will choose one for him.

  2. On the train Aditya meets Geet, a lively young woman, and gets off late at night at a small wayside stop. While the two argue, the train leaves without them. Aditya helps her reach Ratlam Junction railway station to catch it, but in the chaos Geet misses boarding again. Stranded past midnight, she stubbornly insists he help her get all the way home to Bathinda. Ratlam Junction has seven platforms on the Delhi-Mumbai main line.

  3. After travelling together for days, the pair reach Geet's family home in Bathinda. Her family warmly takes Aditya in, and to hide that he is a wealthy businessman he introduces himself as a musician. Bathinda fits a railway story: its junction was the world's oldest and largest commercial metre-gauge railway junction until 2003. The film was shot throughout the Punjab region, so the pin marks the town's station rather than a filmed house.

場所の精度: The film never names the family's street and was shot across Punjab; the pin marks Bathinda Junction station, not the house.

訪問のヒント: Bathinda Junction is the town's main station; the family home is not a visitable site.

  4. Geet runs away from home and Aditya drops her off at Manali, where her boyfriend Anshuman lives. He says goodbye and returns to Mumbai. The crew later headed to Shimla and Manali, where they filmed a song on the Himalayas and the Rohtang Pass. The pass lies around 51 km from Manali. It is open from May to November.

場所の精度: The film sets Anshuman's home in Manali without a specific address; the pin marks Rohtang Pass, where a song was filmed.

訪問のヒント: Rohtang Pass is open from May to November.

  5. Months later Aditya travels to Manali, confronts Anshuman, and finally finds Geet in Shimla, working as a schoolteacher and living in seclusion. The crew filmed in Shimla too. Today the hill town draws visitors for its colonial architecture, churches, temples and mountain setting, and the Kalka-Shimla railway, opened in 1903, still climbs to it.

場所の精度: The film does not give Geet's school or street in Shimla; the pin marks the town centre.

訪問のヒント: Shimla has colonial-era buildings and churches to see.

Jodhaa Akbar: Filming Locations in Rajasthan

Jodhaa Akbar (2008) is set in the Mughal Empire and was filmed at Amber Fort, Roopangarh Fort, Agra Fort, Ajmer Sharif Dargah and on the outskirts of Jaipur. The film tells how the young emperor Jalaluddin, later called Akbar, marries the Rajput princess Jodhaa of Amber, and this route follows the story across the real forts and shrines where its scenes were shot. Many events in the film are fictional, and historians dispute the name Jodhaa Bai. Several interiors, including the Agra Fort halls, were rebuilt as sets at Karjat.
