What do the location labels mean?
Exact
The pin marks the actual place where it happened or was filmed.
Approximate
The right area — a town, park or district — but not a precise spot.
  1. Nina and Momoka busk on the plaza outside Kawasaki Station's east exit in episode 1. The square is a real stage: street performers and bands work it regularly. It also helped put the series here, because the creators noticed a station banner reading "Music City Kawasaki" and many street musicians while scouting.

Visitor guidance: Free to visit; buskers are common near the station.

  2. The Marufuku Coffee branch in the Kawasaki Azalea mall turns up in episodes 1 and 6. In July 2024 the real shop ran a limited tie-in menu with the series.

Visitor guidance: The shop is in the Azalea underground mall.

  3. The mall plaza connected straight to Kawasaki Station's west exit is where Shin-Kawasaki (Temporary) play their very first live in episode 3. It is an open atrium inside a shopping mall, so the band performs among ordinary shoppers.

Visitor guidance: The plaza is inside the mall, linked directly to the station's west exit.

  4. The band's second live, in episode 5, is set at this live house in Ogawacho. The real band Togenashi Togeari played there before the anime aired and has said it means the most to them.

Location precision: The pin marks the Ogawacho district; a search for the venue itself found no reliable point.

Visitor guidance: Check the venue's own schedule for shows before you go.

  5. Episode 11 shows BAYCAMP, the rock festival held every autumn in this Kawasaki park. The real band Togenashi Togeari played the 2024 edition.

Visitor guidance: BAYCAMP is held in autumn; otherwise it is a public park.

  6. Nina and Hina meet at this popcorn shop in episode 13. In September 2024 La Cittadella hosted a pop-up for the series and sold the same menu the characters eat on screen.

Visitor guidance: La Cittadella is a shopping and dining complex.

  7. The finale puts Togenashi Togeari and Diamond Dust on one bill at CLUB CITTA'. Writer Hanada was already a regular there, one reason Kawasaki became the setting. In September 2024 the real band played its own one-man show here.

Visitor guidance: CLUB CITTA' is a live venue; check its schedule for events.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Leatherface's Texas

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was filmed around Austin in the summer of 1973, and its main sites can still be visited: Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, the Last Chance Gas Station in Bastrop, and the Quick Hill farmhouse, now Hooper's restaurant in Kingsland. This route follows the film from the grave-robbing opening to Sally's escape on a Round Rock road, then ends inside the house where Leatherface's family sat down to dinner. Tobe Hooper shot the $140,000 film on 16mm over 13 days, using a real farmhouse, a working gas station and a country cemetery instead of sets. Temperatures reached 110°F during the shoot.

Friday the 13th: Camp Crystal Lake and Blairstown

Friday the 13th (1980) was filmed at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick, New Jersey, with Blairstown's Main Street, the Moravian Cemetery in Hope and the Blairstown Diner standing in for the town and countryside around Camp Crystal Lake. The film was shot in and around Hardwick, Blairstown and Hope in autumn 1979, mostly at a working Boy Scout camp on Sand Pond. This route follows Annie's hitchhike into town, the counselors' night at camp, Steve Christy's evening at the diner and Alice's final struggle on the lakeshore.

Zhmurki: Nizhny Novgorod as a 1990s City

Zhmurki (Dead Man's Bluff, 2005) is set in 1990s Nizhny Novgorod, and Aleksei Balabanov filmed it there: in the Kovalikhinsky Baths, at Vodnik Stadium, by the Church of Elijah and in the Sirotkin House. This route follows seven locations of Balabanov's black comedy about bandits of the 1990s, from the bathhouse that played a morgue to the house of the final showdown. Several stops have changed since the shoot, and one is closed to visitors.
