Run Lola Run: Berlin in 20 Minutes
Run Lola Run is set and filmed in Berlin: a U-Bahn station, the bank at Bebelplatz, the Oberbaum Bridge and a casino in Schöneberg's town hall.
Lola has 20 minutes to find 100,000 marks and save Manni, and the film replays them three times. This route follows the story through the real places where those scenes were shot, from the platform where the money is lost to the casino table where number 20 comes up twice. The film's own geography is loose, so the stops are filming sites rather than a running route.

What do the location labels mean?
- Exact
- The pin marks the actual place where it happened or was filmed.
- Approximate
- The right area — a town, park or district — but not a precise spot.
Manni's disaster starts underground. Riding the U-Bahn with 100,000 marks to deliver, he flees ticket inspectors and leaves the bag behind, then watches a homeless man examine it as the train pulls away. His boss Ronnie will kill him in 20 minutes without the money, so he phones Lola. The film used Deutsche Oper station, whose walls carry tiles designed by José de Guimarães. It is a working station, so you can step off and look at them.
Visitor guidance: A working U-Bahn station; the tiles are on the walls.

Lola's father is a bank manager, so his bank is her first hope. In the first run their conversation turns into an argument; in the second a furious Lola grabs a security guard's gun, holds her father hostage and robs the bank of 100,000 marks. The fictional Deutsche Transfer Bank was filmed in the empty former Dresdner Bank headquarters at Bebelplatz. The building is now the Hotel de Rome, so you can look at the facade from the street.
Visitor guidance: The building now houses the Hotel de Rome; view it from the street.

Lola's sprints are scattered across Berlin, and one of the film's main images of her running was shot on the Oberbaum Bridge, which appears prominently in the film. The bridge links Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg and opened in 1896 after two years of construction. The film's locations don't add up to a real running route, so treat this as one beat of her race rather than a stretch of it.
Visitor guidance: A landmark bridge between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.

Manni, short of time, plans to rob a nearby supermarket. In the first run Lola arrives too late and sees him walk in with a gun; in the third run he instead steals the money bag back at gunpoint. The supermarket scenes were shot in Charlottenburg, at the crossing of Tauroggener Straße and Osnabrücker Straße. It took five weeks to persuade the shop to allow the filming.
Not pinned on the mapVisitability not confirmedLocation precision: No pin: the sources name only the street crossing in Charlottenburg, not the shop.

In the third run Lola wanders aimlessly before walking into a casino, hands over all her cash and bets a 100-mark chip on number 20. It wins. Roulette pays 35 to 1, so she collects 3,500 more marks and leaves everything on 20 again. She walks out with a bag holding 129,600 marks and runs to Manni. The scene was filmed in the foyer of Rathaus Schöneberg, Schöneberg's town hall.
