Battlefield V: From Narvik to Nijmegen

The Battlefield V prologue opens with a British paratrooper on a night raid at Narvik Docks in 1940. The real Battles of Narvik ran from 9 April to 8 June 1940, and the fight was over the port itself: Narvik gave an ice-free harbour in the North Atlantic for iron ore brought by rail from Kiruna in Sweden.

The real Vemork plant near Rjukan was the target of Norwegian heavy water sabotage operations, and in 1988 the power station became the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum.
