What do the location labels mean?
Approximate
The right area — a town, park or district — but not a precise spot.
  1. Jeepers Creepers begins on a Florida country road, where an old truck tailgates Trish and Darry on their drive home for spring break before it finally passes. The opening scenes were shot on SW 180th Avenue Road near Dunnellon, a dead-straight north-south stretch that locals call Tiger Trail. Most of the film's driving scenes were filmed here after principal photography began in Central Florida in August 2000 and ran for two months.

Location precision: The film never names the road; the pin marks SW 180th Avenue Road at Dunnellon, where the opening scenes were shot.

Visitor guidance: A public road; drive carefully and watch for traffic.

  2. The siblings see the same truck parked beside an abandoned church, where the driver drops wrapped bodies down a large pipe. Darry later crawls into the pipe and finds the basement, with corpses sewn to the walls and ceiling, including Kenny and Darla from the urban legend. The church was the former St. James Church, between Dunnellon and Ocala. It burned down after filming, so nothing remains to see.

Location precision: The pin marks the church's reported address on SW 110th Avenue; the building no longer exists.

  3. After fleeing, Trish and Darry shelter in a diner, where a cryptic phone call from a woman warns them of imminent danger. Opper's Diner was a set built in Lake Panasoffkee, and the name is a nod to producer Barry Opper. A location guide reports that the former diner can still be seen at 4629 FL-44, on the south side of the road, though what stands there today may change.

Location precision: The diner was a film set; the pin marks the reported address of the building used.

  4. The siblings reach a police station, where a psychic explains what is hunting them. That night the Creeper attacks the station, breaking into the holding cells and killing several prisoners to heal its wounds. The film was shot in Reddick in the summer of 2000, and an abandoned high school stood in for the station. A location guide identifies the fictional Poho County sheriff's office with Reddick Public Library on Northwest Gainesville Road.

Location precision: Sources differ on the building: one names the old high school, another the public library; the pin marks the library address.

  5. The finale is set in an abandoned factory, where Darry's mutilated body is revealed as the song Jeepers Creepers plays. A meatpacking factory in Ocala, since demolished, was used for the scene. A location guide names the site as White's Meat Packing on Northeast 14th Street, and says the industrial site is totally gone.

Location precision: The pin marks the reported street address of the demolished plant.

A Few Good Men: Filming Locations and Guantanamo Stand-ins

A Few Good Men (1992) is set at Guantanamo Bay but was filmed in Southern California, at Fort MacArthur, Crystal Cove State Park and Point Mugu, with Culver Studios as the courtroom and Memorial Bridge in Washington. The route follows the court-martial story from the real base to the stand-ins that played it, then to Washington and the courtroom where Colonel Jessep says "You can't handle the truth!". Nothing was filmed at Guantanamo, so the first pin shows the setting only.
