La zona correcta (una ciudad, un parque o un barrio), pero no un punto preciso.
  1. Midsomer Murders began on 23 March 1997 with an adaptation of the novel The Killings at Badger's Drift. In the fictional village of Badger's Drift, elderly Miss Bellringer insists that her friend Emily Simpson did not die of a heart attack, and Chief Inspector Barnaby is drawn in. The village is played by real places around South Oxfordshire. The Six Bells pub in Warborough repeatedly appears as the Black Swan, the pub of Badger's Drift, making Warborough the place to look for Badger's Drift.

Precisión del lugar: Badger's Drift is fictional and the series used several nearby places; the pin marks the village of Warborough, home of the Six Bells.

Para el visitante: The Six Bells is a village pub on Warborough's green; check opening times before you go.

  2. Causton is the county town of Midsomer, a medium-sized town where Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby lives with his wife. On screen it is not one place. Thame in Oxfordshire has played Causton many times for the production company, and its boat-shaped High Street, the heart of the market town, is where to start.

Precisión del lugar: Causton is fictional and played by several towns; the pin marks Thame's High Street.

Para el visitante: Thame is a working market town; the High Street is open to walk at any time.

  3. Turville is the picture of a Midsomer village, with historic stone and timber houses around a village green. Its pub, the Bull & Butcher, has been renamed twice for the series. In "Murder on St. Malley's Day" it became The Chalk and Gown, and in "Schooled in Murder" it was The Spotted Cow. Turville has hosted many other productions too, but the pub is the spot to look for if you want a Midsomer pint.

Para el visitante: The Bull & Butcher is a working village pub; the village green is a short walk away.

  4. Wallingford is another of the towns that stands in for Causton. In 2015 the Wallingford Festival of Cycling was used as the backdrop for filming the Midsomer Murders episode "Breaking the Chain", the third episode of the 18th series. The town centre is built around a market square, with the war memorial and Wallingford Town Hall on its south side.

Precisión del lugar: Wallingford plays Causton rather than a named place; the pin marks the market square.

Para el visitante: The market square is open to the public; shops and cafes line its edges.

  5. In series 16, episode 4, Midsomer takes to the air. White Waltham Airfield, southwest of Maidenhead, was filmed on Sunday 11 August 2013 and appears as the fictional Finchmere Airfield in "The Flying Club". It is the one stop here that is an airfield rather than a village or town.

Para el visitante: A working airfield; public access is limited, so check ahead before visiting.

The Olsen Gang: Copenhagen, Vallø and Jutland

The Olsen Gang (Olsen-banden) is set in Copenhagen, from the Designmuseum on Bredgade to the Royal Theatre and City Hall, with Vallø Castle and Hanstholm in Jutland as other film locations. This route follows the Danish heist comedy series from the first film in 1968 to The Olsen Gang Goes to War in 1978. It mixes real places named in the films with stand-ins such as Vallø for the fictional Borreholm, and one Jutland stop is only approximate.

Australia (2008): Kimberley to Bowen

Baz Luhrmann's Australia is set in 1939-1942 on the fictional Faraway Downs and in wartime Darwin, but it was filmed around Carlton Hill Station and Kununurra in the Kimberley, in Bowen, Queensland, and at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin. This route follows the cattle drive from the Kimberley homestead to Darwin and the 1942 bombing, with the real places that stood in for each scene. Several settings were doubles: Darwin's Government House is Sydney's Strickland House, and Bowen plays 1940s Darwin.
