『KPOPガールズ！デーモンハンターズ』（KPop Demon Hunters）の舞台はソウルで、実在の場所がいくつも画面に登場する。冒頭のソウルオリンピック主競技場、7号線のチャヤン駅、Nソウルタワー（南山ソウルタワー）、駱山公園、北村韓屋村だ。 これはアニメ映画なので、ここで紹介するのは撮影地ではなく、作中に描かれた場所である。このルートでは、そのうち5か所を、今訪れるとどんな場所かとともにたどる。
ウルクの王ギルガメシュは、不死の秘密を求めて旅に出る。このルートでは、叙事詩の舞台となった都市から杉の森、洪水を生き延びた英雄の故郷をたどり、最後に粘土板が発見されたニネヴェの図書館へと向かう。 詩の中の場所は伝説であり、粘土板が出土した場所は考古学の領域にある。各スポットではそのどちらなのかを示し、ピンが候補地にすぎない場合もあわせて記した。イラクの遺跡は、観光で訪れる場所ではない。
Elvis Presley's story runs from his birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Humes High School, Beale Street, Sun Studio, the Overton Park Shell and Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The route follows him from a shotgun house in 1935 to the 1954 recording session and first paid concert that launched him, and the mansion he bought in 1957. Most stops can still be visited.
Beatles places in Liverpool and London: the church hall in Woolton where Lennon met McCartney, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, the Cavern Club, the Savile Row rooftop and the Abbey Road zebra crossing. The route follows the band from 1957 to 1969 in seven stops, from McCartney's family home in Allerton to the last public concert on a London roof and the cover photo of Abbey Road. Most stops can still be visited.
Wyatt Earp's lawman years run from the cattle towns of Wichita and Dodge City, Kansas, to Tombstone, Arizona, where the gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place in 1881. Earp wore a badge in Kansas, then followed his brothers to a silver boomtown. This route follows him from his first police job to the shootout, his brother Morgan's murder and the vendetta ride through Tucson, ending at his grave in Colma, California. The real gunfight was not at the corral at all, and the stops say where it actually happened.
The Underground Railroad's northern routes ran from Maryland's Eastern Shore through Wilmington and the Ohio River towns to Niagara Falls and Dresden, Ontario. This route follows seven real places linked to it, from Harriet Tubman's escape to the Dawn settlement. It joins Harriet Tubman's park in Maryland, Thomas Garrett's Wilmington, the Rankin and Levi Coffin houses, the Freedom Center in Cincinnati, the Niagara bridge and the Dawn settlement. The stops follow the geography, not one person's single journey.
The First Crusade (1096-1099) ran from Clermont in France through Constantinople, Nicaea and Antioch to Jerusalem, and this route follows it stop by stop. It began with Pope Urban II's sermon at Clermont on 27 November 1095. The six stops cover the sermon, the oaths sworn to the Byzantine emperor in Constantinople, the sieges of Nicaea and Antioch, the battle at Dorylaeum and the fall of Jerusalem in July 1099. Violence is named plainly; the medieval accounts are partly written after the fact.
La bola negra (The Black Ball), the 2026 film by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, was shot in Granada, Sierra Nevada, Castil de Carrias, Sigüenza, Madrid, Athens and Comillas. It follows three timelines inspired by Federico García Lorca's unfinished play. The route runs through the 1932, 1937 and 2017 storylines. The film does not name most of its settings, so most pins mark the listed filming locations.

Napoleon Dynamite is set and was filmed in Preston, Idaho, from Preston High School and the Deseret Industries thrift shop to a chicken farm in Franklin and Lamont Reservoir. Director Jared Hess shot his 2004 comedy in July 2003 in the town where he grew up. This route follows Napoleon, Kip and Uncle Rico through six places, from the school gym to the wedding. Some scenes were shot elsewhere in Idaho, and the guide gives only street-level addresses for a few spots.
Attila the Hun's campaigns run from Margus and Viminacium on the Danube to Orléans, the Catalaunian Plains in France and Aquileia in Italy. This route follows the Hun king from the 435 treaty to his 452 meeting with Pope Leo I. Six stops trace his rise as ruler of the Huns, the sack of Danube cities, the check in Gaul and the invasion of Italy. Several battle sites are approximate or disputed, and the pins say so.
Thomas Hardy's Wessex is the real Dorset and Wiltshire under invented names: Puddletown becomes Weatherbury, Bere Regis becomes Kingsbere, and Stonehenge keeps its own name in Tess of the d'Urbervilles. The route starts at Hardy's birthplace cottage and his house Max Gate, then follows his novels to the real villages and ancient sites behind them: Puddletown, Maiden Castle, Bere Regis and finally Stonehenge. Hardy himself called Wessex a "partly real, partly dream-country", so some pins mark the area rather than one building.
Gran Turismo, Forza and Assetto Corsa race on real circuits: the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Le Mans, Suzuka and Laguna Seca. This route lists six tracks you can drive in racing games, with what each game does with them and the real circuit behind the screen. Game appearances differ by title and year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops sends CIA operative Alex Mason from the Bay of Pigs in Cuba to the Vorkuta gulag, Baikonur Cosmodrome, Huế in Vietnam and Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong. Mason's story is told in flashbacks from an interrogation room, in order, from April 1961 to 1968. This route follows seven real places behind the campaign, and what happened at each one in real history. The game's levels are fiction, so most pins are approximate. Spoiler notice: the last stop reveals the campaign's twist.
The Lizzie McGuire Movie was filmed in Rome in autumn 2002, with scenes at the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, Villa d'Este in Tivoli and the Colosseum. Contains story spoilers. On a class trip to Rome, Lizzie agrees to pose as an Italian pop star and ends up at a music video awards show. The route follows the film's Rome scenes; the awards performance itself was shot in a studio.
The Via Francigena is the medieval pilgrim road from Canterbury Cathedral through France and Switzerland to St Peter's in Rome, recorded by Archbishop Sigeric around 990. This route follows it from Canterbury over the Great St Bernard Pass to Lucca, Siena and Viterbo. Sigeric's return trip ran to 80 stages of about 20 km each, some 1,700 km in all. Pilgrims still walk it today. Stops are landmarks on the route, not proven overnight stays.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is set in Aquitaine in 1348, with landscapes inspired by Saint-Émilion, a town gate modelled on Carcassonne and a final cathedral based on Reims. Its sequel, Requiem, moves to Provence and Marseille in 1349. The route follows Amicia and Hugo de Rune from their family estate through plague-ridden France to the Order's city of Marseille. Most pins are real stand-ins or regions, and each stop says how close the game comes to the real place.

「ワイルド・スピード X3 TOKYO DRIFT」の舞台は東京だが、撮影の大半はロサンゼルスで行われた。実際の東京で最もよく知られているのは渋谷スクランブル交差点である。 ルートは、アリゾナの高校から、映画に登場するカーミーティング、ガレージ、峠道まで、主人公ショーン・ボズウェルの足跡をたどり、ホーソーン・プラザからサンガブリエル・ダムまで、東京の代役を務めたロサンゼルスの撮影地を紹介する。いくつかの場面のピンは、物語の舞台ではなく代役の場所に付けている。
1945年3月から6月にかけて行われた沖縄戦は、慶良間諸島と嘉手納の上陸海岸から、島の南部の首里城と摩文仁の丘まで及んだ。 このルートは、今も地図で見つけられる6つの場所で地上戦をたどる。最初の上陸から、あらゆる陣営の死者の名前が刻まれた平和の礎までである。いくつかの場所は慰霊の地であり、慶良間諸島と嘉数高地のピンはおおよその位置である。
お岩の幽霊を描く「東海道四谷怪談」は、古い江戸の四谷が舞台で、1825年に中村座で初演された。皿を失くしたお菊の物語「番町皿屋敷」は江戸の番町が舞台とされ、姫路城もその舞台を名乗っている。 このルートは、二つの歌舞伎の怪談を東京と姫路でたどる。初演の劇場の復元、四谷の於岩稲荷田宮神社、巣鴨の妙行寺にあるお岩の墓とされる墓所、番町の一帯、そしてお菊井戸である。いくつかの比定は伝承であったり異論があったりするため、各スポットでそのことを記している。
1274年と1281年の元寇（蒙古襲来）は、対馬、壱岐島、福岡の博多湾で戦われ、台風が船団を襲った鷹島沖で終結した。 このルートでは、2度の襲来を順にたどる。1274年の対馬と壱岐への上陸、博多湾での文永の役と筥崎宮、その後に築かれた石の防塁、志賀島沖に停泊した船団、そして1281年8月15日の嵐である。おおよその位置にとどまる場所も多く、鷹島での出来事の正確な場所は、島の一帯としか分からない。
