Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — London to Chicago

The 2019 campaign's London strand opens here. Suicide bombers affiliated with the terrorist organization Al-Qatala attack Piccadilly Circus. SAS Sergeant "Gaz" Garrick is sent in with a unit of Metropolitan Police officers to contain the situation. The real junction was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly, and it is still known for its video display and neon signs.

SAS forces led by Price and Gaz raid an Al-Qatala-occupied townhouse in Camden Town. There they learn where their leader, Omar "The Wolf" Sulaman, can be found. The mission is called Clean House. The real city sits on the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland and was founded by Tsar Peter the Great on 27 May 1703.

Rahar reveals that Hadir plans to attack Barkov at his estate in Baurci. At the estate, Price and Gaz rescue Barkov's family and capture Hadir. Moldova is one of the real countries the game uses. Baurci itself is a commune and village in the Ceadîr-Lunga district of the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit of the Republic of Moldova.

Hadir's capture leads the team to Barkov's gas factory in Borjomi. When the detonator is damaged, Alex volunteers to set off the explosives manually, seemingly sacrificing himself, and the forces evacuate as the factory is destroyed. In Modern Warfare II, Laswell, Price and Gaz pursue one of Hassan's couriers in Amsterdam. They learn that Hassan has received protection from, and allied with, the Las Almas Cartel. The game names Amsterdam among its real locations, next to the Mexico–United States border and Chicago. The real city is famous for its large number of canals.

The team learns from Valeria that Hassan is in Chicago. The team narrowly thwarts his plan by detonating his missile en route to the Pentagon, and Ghost manages to assassinate him as he attempts to kill Soap. Chicago, on the western shore of Lake Michigan, is the last real city on the route.
