What do the location labels mean?
Exact
The pin marks the actual place where it happened or was filmed.
Approximate
The right area — a town, park or district — but not a precise spot.
  1. Sae-ro-yi and Jo Yi-seo first meet at a building the series calls Bogwang Gosiwon. In real life it is a guesthouse whose walls are covered in graffiti of the names of cities from around the world. It is still operated as a guesthouse, and its rooftop offers a panoramic view of N Seoul Tower and Itaewon.

Location precision: The source gives only the street, so the pin marks Bogwang-ro 60-gil, where the VisitKorea guide places the building.

Visitor guidance: Operates as a guesthouse at 14-38 Bogwang-ro 60-gil; check opening and visiting rules with it first.

  2. After his release from prison, Park Sae-ro-yi opens DanBam in Itaewon, wanting to succeed and seeking revenge on the Jangga Group. It is the place that appears most often in the series. The real site was a lamb skewer restaurant that was turned into a food stall for the drama, and it now operates as SEOUL BAM, where you can even taste the food from the series.

Visitor guidance: Opens 18:00 daily (to 23:00 weekdays, midnight at weekends), at 57 Noksapyeong-daero 40-gil; check current hours.

  3. After DanBam, this pedestrian overpass is the place the series returns to most. Sae-ro-yi and Jo Yi-seo meet here, and he is often lost in thought on it. It is popular as a photo spot and went viral as a filming location. At night you can see N Seoul Tower and the splendid night view of Seoul.

  4. This small park is where Jang Geun-soo apologises to Sae-ro-yi. A second scene was filmed here too: a man who follows Sae-ro-yi secretly on Chairman Jang's order, to take his picture, is caught by detective Yoon. The park has playground rides such as a black bear slide, a seesaw and a swing, plus benches to sit and relax on.

Location precision: The source gives only the street, Noksapyeong-daero 46-gil; the pin marks that street, not the playground.

Visitor guidance: A public park off Noksapyeong-daero 46-gil.

  5. Sae-ro-yi and Jo Yi-seo share their kiss here, a heart-throbbing moment filmed on the road between the entrance of Namsan Park, on the Sungnyemun Gate side, and Baekbeom Plaza. Today the plaza is a good place for a walk, with views of N Seoul Tower and the Hanyangdoseong Seoul Fortress Wall. In fall it is coloured with crimson and golden leaves, making it a popular spot for autumn foliage.

    Not pinned on the mapVisitable

Location precision: The scene was filmed on the road between the Namsan Park entrance and Baekbeom Plaza; the exact spot is not given, so there is no pin.

Visitor guidance: Walk up from the Namsan Park entrance towards the plaza.

  6. At the end of the story, after their revenge on Chairman Jang, the two leads enjoy a date and take pictures here. Various graffiti cover the wall next to the stairs, but the angel wings are the most representative one, so it is the spot to recreate the leads' photos.

Location precision: The source gives a lot number in Itaewon-dong, and the pin is the geocoded address, not the wall itself.

Visitor guidance: A wall next to a staircase at Itaewon-dong 116-18.
