Timeline & locations

What do the location labels mean?
Exact
The pin marks the actual place where it happened or was filmed.
Fictional
The place exists only in the story; any pin marks a real-world stand-in or inspiration.
  1. The Eiffel Tower is one of the Paris monuments that appear throughout Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, the series about two teenagers in Paris who become Ladybug and Cat Noir. The tower also took a real part in the franchise: on 28 June 2023 the singing voices of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Lou and Elliott, performed in the Salon Gustave Eiffel on its first floor to promote the film's soundtrack. Visitor guidance: The tower is open to visitors; book tickets ahead.

  2. Marinette's family bakery sits in two places at once. In the show it appears south of Notre-Dame on the left bank, yet it also stands on a corner of the Place des Vosges, which is on the right bank in the 4th arrondissement. The square, once called Place Royale and first dedicated to Henri IV, is where the series bends Paris's map on purpose.

Real-world stand-in inGoogle MapsApple MapsOrganic MapsOpenStreetMapVisitable

Location precision: The bakery is fictional; the series puts it on a corner of this real square, so the pin marks the Place des Vosges.

Visitor guidance: A public square, free to walk around.

  3. Marinette's bakery has a made-up address, 12 rue Gotlib, in the equally fictional 21st arrondissement. Its outside look is inspired by the Boris Lumé bakery at 48 rue Caulaincourt in the 18th arrondissement, a real shop whose fame rose sharply after the series succeeded.

Location precision: The bakery in the show is fictional; the pin marks the real shop on Rue Caulaincourt that inspired its look.

Visitor guidance: A working bakery; shop hours apply.

  4. The characters' school is called Collège Françoise Dupont, a nod to Fantômette. Its old building around a large courtyard is modelled on the Lycée Carnot in Paris, a real school with a little over two thousand pupils. The show's school is invented; the real one is the architectural model.

Location precision: The school in the series is fictional; the pin marks the Lycée Carnot, which served as its model.

  5. The character André Bourgeois owns the palace hotel Le Grand Paris. It is inspired by the real Hôtel Plaza Athénée. Only the inspiration is real: the hotel in the show is invented.

Location precision: Le Grand Paris is fictional; the pin marks the Plaza Athénée that inspired it.

  6. In the series the Parc des Princes is renamed the Stade des Princesses. The real stadium in Paris's 16th arrondissement was inaugurated on 18 July 1897 and has hosted Paris Saint-Germain since 1974, so the show borrows a real stadium and changes its name.

Location precision: The stadium is renamed in the series; the pin marks the real Parc des Princes it is based on.

Visitor guidance: Stadium tours and match days are run by the club; check its site for dates.

Christiane F.: Bahnhof Zoo and West Berlin Locations

Christiane F. – Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo is set in West Berlin and filmed around Bahnhof Zoo, Kurfürstenstraße and the Deutschlandhalle, with the heroine's home in Gropiusstadt. The route visits the five places the film and the book make famous, in story order, and says plainly where the pins are only the area.
